At Calwell, we are strong supporters of being open around mental health issues. As a result we have sought support from a number of external agencies and in doing so we have built a strong partnership of a brilliant organisation called Headspace Canberra. They have two excellent programs coming up which could be an ideal way to provide support for a young person, family member or a carer who needs a helping hand.

A combined team of girls from both Calwell High and Lanyon High took part in the 7s competition today. In all, they played 7 games where they won 4, drew 2 and lost only 1 tight fought game. The girls played some great footy despite taking a few knocks, and all were amazing ambassadors for both Calwell High and Lanyon High. Well done team!

Yesterday both our Year 7/8 and our 9/10 boys Rugby 7s teams were undefeated at the Raiders 7s Comp held at Braddon. Going through undefeated is a great achievement for both teams. Their coaches (Mr Jones and Mr Folkard) were impressed at the boy's dedication to their team, their rugby skills and the sportsmanship they presented during all of their games. Please join with us in congratulating them! The finals will be coming up soon and we'll keep you all posted. The photos below are of our 7/8 winning team.
