On babysitting duties! We have the pleasure of babysitting gorgeous Kia a adult pound cat that we rehomed with Karey who is having a well earned weekend away! Today arrived Finnigan a starved and neglected wolfhound puppy my daughter and her partner have taken on fostering! Visiting for a few days with an aim to get him socialised with cats and other dogs - so I think we can easily do that!!

Animal Friends Jogja [AFJ]
HELP is desperately needed! The only overseas rescue group we support is the one below called Animal Friends Jogja because all the people volunteer to help animals! Many of you would have seen the wrist bands and bags saying 'dogs are not food'! Sadly, they are up against the horrible dog slaughterhouses and animals are not treated as well as we would like to see. Yesterday, I met with Monique who is a founder of this rescue as she is here for just a week to visit her parents that are local to Buderim. I was just about in tears hearing about the challenges they face daily and how they dedicate all their time and personal money to helping strays! They help dogs, cats and rehabilitate performing monkeys. But although they are tired and broke they do not give up because they see daily the difference they can make to the animals. We can help these volunteers and I am begging you that if there is any chance you can consider donating a couple of items so we can fill her suitcases with products they desperately need before she goes, I will be so grateful. What they need is: -flea treatments for dogs and cats (front line, spit on, advocate, revolution , comfortis are all perfect) -Worming paste for cats -Electric warming pads for tiny kittens (I am unsure of the cost but have one here I can donate, so will look for more.) If you could spare the money to purchase a couple of these products to send back to be used on these homeless animals please do! Please also attach a note or photo of your dog or cat that would give encouragement and support to their volunteers - that we may be far away, but still keen to help! I can organise collection or drop off point (but we only have a week so deadline is next Friday) so just message me and let's make her bags burst with our love for the work they do!

If you want to know what makes my heart sing, it is when I get messages and updates like this one from Robyn. Tashi is growing beautifully. She is friendly to everyone, loves Susie the dog from next door, is happy to tell anyone who will listen that she is starved and neglected despite having just eaten, thinks every meal should be human chicken, loves waking me up each morning by jumping on me in bed, is still testing her boundaries like any teenager, meets me at the door when I have been out AND is a complete delight. Thank you.

Zerlinga is looking for someone to love her. She is a super fit and active senior girl. Loves exploring the garden but doesn't chase birds -'perfect cat'. Super placid and very loving - just loves being stroked. Sadly her aged mum had passed away and had no family to take her in. Please send me a message to find out more!
