WALL REPAIRS It's been a long summer with soaring temps and high humidity levels. We hope you and your families are enjoying the cooler weather, and have had a safe and Happy Easter! With winter just around the corner, we know you'll be looking forward to more time indoors with your loved ones. Have you thought about how you're going to get your home ready for this winter? Our Gents are proficient in all manner of home handyman projects, large or small. Dear All, Over the past 3 months, Odd Job Gents have acquired a number of new commercial and corporate clients while also seeing our residential client base increase dramatically. Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support us. However, as a team we believe we have reached a breaking point regarding our "free quote" offer. Historically our turn around for supplying free quotes has been approx 1 week from inspection date, however prior to Christmas this pushed out to 3 weeks in some cases. January has not proven to be any different, despite it being a slow month historically. As a result, our focus is almost entirely on the front end of the business. Yet we are now taking more than 24hrs to reply to telephone enquiries, falling 2 weeks behind on quotes, and falling even further behind on invoicing for work already completed. So, after much thought and consideration, we are looking to trial a benchmark for our free quote service, whereby any job that can be completed within 1 business day (this includes the sourcing of materials), we will no longer be quoting on. Therefore, we can only offer formal quotes for work that exceeds $500. We are however, happy to provide approximate/estimated charges on any enquiries we receive, in order to help provide a suggested out of pocket expense for budgeting purposes. This change, we believe, will allow us to not only catch up, but will also improve on our lead times for jobs, our response time to enquiries, and our invoicing for jobs already completed. DECK RAILING We were recently tasked with installing some deck railing along 2 areas at a home in Bli Bli. The railing needed to match what was already there, included a small gate and was painted to match the existing colour scheme. With 2 excellent chippy's in our team, Odd Job Gents is able to produce carpentry work that is of a high standard.
