I never thought I would be heard complaining about the heat in Queensland. Today is day 7 (feels like 24) in a row of 30 plus temps...I'm now complaining...it's so hot.

Happy new year to all. I hope for you a blessed, safe and successful year. One thing for sure in an unsure world is change. It happens so rapidly these days,advertisers capture us in the first 7 seconds, face-book relationships can come and go, buildings and landmarks can be changed in a couple of days, technology mere minutes but I still meet people who resist it at every turn. I'm beginning to think I am one of these. My question to the world is Why do we keep doing it. Is it simply that we don't know how to stop. My stopping gift to myself this year is to write more. I go to the quietest of places when I am doing that and so I hope you find that place this year also. Love and Gratitude. Linda

Merry Christmas and LOVE to all. I am still at the shop Christmas eve and loving all the beautiful people dropping buy and buying the best present to give...a book. I hope health and happiness falls all over each and everyone who reads this and then passes that on. Enjoy the Sunshine and beaches, rest and recover and I can't wait to see you all in 2017. Creating Writing - 'Become the Message'

Sunshine coast beaches are among some of my favorite places to spend a morning. I can't name a best one because they are all lovely. My question this Sunday was, 'Why do we need T.V's at all?' As I sat on the beach I was entertained endlessly. People are interesting subjects to watch, then there is the delicious views to take in, the warm sun, yachts in full sail, loud jet skis and little dogs have their own agendas, and then to top it all off, several whales add to the captivating. I was lost in all this for over four hours. Gelato on the way home. The answer to my question? We don't need T.Vs.

I love Anzac day. Another dawn service to add to the magnificent pile. The 3.30am start meant the best seats and view. Mooloolaba beach that hour of the morning is daunting. The sea was filled with lifeboat canoes and a soldier on a horse riding up and down the beach added such a backdrop. The absolute surprise for a Kiwi girl was the spine tingling "karakea" and thumping maori "Haka." Then the good ole Aussie diggers stories of just bloody courage. I think people who say the young ones don't understand Anzac day are out of touch with reality. I have never seen so many youngun's at that time of the morning having such a good time. Awesome day followed by history, movies, stories of greatness.
