We’ll forever be grateful to Iva and her talented team at IF Architecture for what they helped us achieve at Etta. It was a huge ask transforming a tired fish 'n chip shop into the bistro we have today, but Iva delivered on our every desire without even breaking a sweat. So it brings us great joy that IF has been nominated three times in the category of Best Restaurant Design in this year’s Eat Drink Design Awards, for the design at Etta, Cutler & Co and Attica. We are proud as punch. Good luck Iva and team, we very much doubt you’ll need it! (📸: Sharyn Cairns)
Roasted Milawa half chicken, baby leeks. Open tonight from 5pm.
A little preview of our courtyard space as we host our first private group tonight! The courtyard seats up to 14 guests in a semi-private space so if you’re planning an intimate little soirée and you’re after a venue, get in touch 🌿
Some new friends in the fridge, and what a bloody great day for them! ☀️🍻
Works are well and truly underway in our courtyard! Not long now! A quick spit n’ polish, some tables and chairs and we are good to go. A massive thanks to Mick our carpenter and Theo our electrician. Both top guys who are very, very good at what they do. #alfrescodining #ettaoutback
On the list: the 2016 Cos Rami, a super interesting and textured Sicilian number that bursts with notes of wildflower, sage and salted nectarine. It’s equal parts Grecanico and Insolia, and if you’ve never tried either of these grapes before, this wine is a brilliant introduction. Top summer drinking in our opinion.
Crumbed fillets of flounder with capers and shallots. Accompanying beer optional, but recommended. We’re open all day from 12!
Etta is very much the sum of its parts, so we like to celebrate those people who've lent a hand in making us who we are. One of those people is Dominic Valentine, Yarra Valley winemaker and all round excellent human. These are some of Dom's wines, and you'll find them on our winelist for two reasons - 1. because they're incredibly delicious, and 2. because it's bloody great to be able to support those who've supported us from the start.
Globe artichoke fettuccine, with leeks, sage and sorrel. New to our summer menu.
We’re making the most of this weather and moving to our summer hours today! In addition to our usual hours, we’re opening for dinner on Tuesdays and for lunch on Saturdays too. Swing by tonight for something tasty at the bar or a bite to eat! Doors from 5pm.
New on the menu: summer peas with stracciatella and Sichuan. That @bravonovember takes a good pic doesn’t he?
