Was great to meet with Ken Gillespie (pictured) and Don Murray from the State's Premier & Cabinet department regarding infrastructure in the Far West. The duo are heading a Review of Regional Infrastructure, and said they are committed to cutting red tape and getting existing infrastructure projects moving ASAP. The meeting also gave us a chance to reiterate Broken Hill's infrastructure needs, with projects such as the airport upgrade, Argent Street upgrade, and heavy vehicle bypass all discussed.

Murray to Broken Hill pipeline - WaterNSW
Was great to receive a visit from Directors, the CEO, and Executive Management of WaterNSW, who met with Councillors yesterday. The Murray to Broken Hill pipeline project appears to be tracking well, with construction expected to start in late 2017. WaterNSW expects to release more information about the project in the coming weeks.
