If you have ever had a termite inspection and wondered why the inspector always says about the small things like your air conditioning outlets or hot water overflows. This is a good example as to why. Here you can see tucked away behind an air conditioning drainage pipe there is a termite lead that has been attracted to the area from the drainage (moisture) outlet. With the colder months here alot of people have their fires burning bright and warm. Spare a thought of where and how you are storing your firewood. We found these termite leads coming up between a carport concrete slab and slab edge of the house. The customer had their firewood stored well and truely high from soil contact yet the termites were still attracted there by the wood pile and were able to gain concealed entry where the wood was leaning against the external walls.
