Hastings Deering’s top eight apprentices came together last week for four gruelling days of theoretical and practical challenges in a bid to be named Top Apprentice of the Year. Hastings Deering Managing Director Dean Mehmet was joined by Suzanne Wauchope, Deputy Director General Training and Skills for Queensland Government and announced Michael McCourt as the 2015 Hastings Deering Apprentice of the Year. The competition is the prelude and entry to a global competition by Caterpillar to celebrate the very best in the region. Michael will now compete in the Australia/New Zealand/Indonesia dealership Apprentice of the Year competition to win the Cat Top Dealer Apprentice of the Year.
