Sulphuric acid from derailed train bombed with lime
Our bidim® nonwoven geotextile and Tensar® geogrids assisted in the re-opening of a rail line near Julia Creek, after a recent derailment. Our products were used to accelerate the construction of the deviation to allow the line to be re-opened as quickly as possible. bidim® was used to provide a separation function between the existing wet ground and the imported material, while the Tensar® geogrids used to stabilise the imported material, giving it increased strength to handle the dynamic loading of the trains.
