Over the last two weeks we have focussed on exposing and extending the children's awareness of our country. Experiences have been planned to achieve this intention through looking at pictures, group discussions, stories, creative experiences, provocations in the construction area, cooking experiences and researching using the smart board. The preschoolers have been learning a verse of the poem 'My Country' by Dorothea Mackellar and talking about its meaning over the last few days. These provisions have been a great way to teach the children about the Australian culture and their existence in the greater community. ☀️🌊HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!! 🌏🇦🇺

We have been working on creating a fairy garden today. We all think it looks pretty amazing and beautiful! The children have loved looking and exploring this space today.

We are finishing this super hot day off with a guided meditation. The children have all been very responsive to this new experience. We are all feeling nice and calm & ready for the afternoon ahead.
