Year 9 Science students have been learning about the physics behind communications of all kinds, and the human body's amazing senses. They took on the challenge of viewing the sun through a "pinhole camera" - which captures a light image through a tiny hole and projects it onto a white screen - by making their own from scratch. Our young scientists took a cardboard box, tape, black paint, white paper and some aluminium foil, and did a masterful job.

Year 9 Commerce visited the Wesley Mission on Pitt Street as part of their study of Community Participation. They gained a better understanding of the causes of homelessness and the needs of this disadvantaged group. Students were set the challenge to buy food to last 3 days with a budget of just $10. This activity reinforced the difficulties faced by homeless people.

On Friday, 2nd December, 12 of our youngest debaters went with Miss Shaw to Sydney Uni to watch the Year 7 & 8 debating final. The students had a fantastic time watching the debate, then exploring the university campus which looks like 'Hogwarts'. A trip to the Nicholson Museum on campus topped off the excursion!
