We have become so far removed from how we used to raise babies (it really does take a village) that we often find ourselves trying to do it all, much to the detriment of our health & wellbeing. Asking for help does not make you a bad mumma, in fact, it makes you an even more amazing one! Because, by asking for help and honouring yourself and your needs as a human being, you are honouring your children's happiness and growth as individuals too. When a mothers cup is full, she has more of herself to give to her family. REAL TALK // Motherhood. It's messy; it's exhausting. Its remembering you haven't showered for days, but forgetting about it just as quick as baby is climbing off the couch. It's not all pretty pictures and perfect houses. If anything, it's pretty much never those things. What it is though is the biggest learning curve you will ever experience. And not just you, mumma. Your baby too is learning. If not with a greater need and desire for understanding. So when the floor is covered in smeared scrambled egg, and you're already counting down the hours till Daddy gets home, and it's only 9am, remember this: you and your baby are both learning. DOWN A DIFFERENT PATH // They say that when you find a true friend, no distance can come between you. Our babies are besties, and so are we. And it is with sadness in our hearts that we will be putting this notion to the test. The time has come for us to say goodbye to the old, and make way for the new. And say adieu to my gorgeous business partner Rylie. It's been such a blast my love; you've been my rock at the craziest times, and we've laughed, cried, vented, and had a whole lot of fun these last 3 years! PERINATAL DEPRESSION & ANXIETY It's real. Oh so real. Tomorrow you can find us at the Lunch Out Loud Fundraiser for PANDA at Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy from 11am - 1pm. We will be showcasing our beautiful Affirmation Card Series for Pregnancy, Birth and Motherhood, which themselves were created to support mums along their journey into motherhood.
