Did you know that you can be allergic to any food? However, 90% of reactions are caused by nine foods – cow’s milk, egg, peanut, tree nuts, wheat, sesame, soy, shellfish & fish. It is estimated that over half a million Australians have a diagnosed food allergy. We will be discussing with the children and educators all this week about allergies and how we can raise awareness and educate others. Today we received 5 stars on our kitchen and menu plans audit according to the food act 1984. Well done to our in house chef Lydia, who works tirelessly to provide the children and staff with nutritional and healthy meals and always keeps her kitchen in perfect condition!
