THANK YOU! As the year comes to a close we’d like to thank all those who have supported us here at South Tribe - our planning, opening, and events couldn’t have happened without you all! In the new year we’ll have many more exciting things to announce. We’ll be running some great workshops, hosting more monthly POWWOW networking nights, we’ll have some new changes to the fitout as well as hosting some more industry events that will cater to everyone... In the second of our sporadic series - 'Who's at South Tribe' - we feature Don Hancock from Inspired Corporation. We were thrilled when Don became the first to join us here, and affirmed our belief in the calibre of people and projects in the area. We also really like the relaxed but professional approach Don brings with him. Our first POWWOW was a huge success! A pleasure for us to bring such a diverse and interesting group of people together – app developers, photographers, real estate professionals, scientists, massage therapists, agriculturalists, and robotics pioneers all swapping ideas. Huge thanks to Paul Dolphin for sharing his knowledge and giving us the inside running on some great opportunities opening up from disruptive technologies. We'll be sharing the stories of some of the local businesses who have joined us here - this week it's Jackie Stallard from Webhive, who is using South Tribe as the Northern base for her web design business – Hello South Tribe! I've broken out of my basement and moved to South Tribe for a day or so a week, and so far I'm loving it! I'm a local web designer, building websites for businesses from Merimbula to Batemans Bay and out to Canberra. I live down in Dalmeny so South Tribe's a bit of a hike, but it's well worth the trip. Business is about relationships and although I love working in my pyjamas, it's good to see real people for a change. At South Tribe I can network with other professionals, create solid business connections and form strategic alliances. (There's safety in numbers!) I'm also in a better position to serve Batemans Bay businesses with website design, Wordpress support and training so hopefully, being at South Tribe will increase my turnover. In any case, South Tribe certainly gets me out of my house, away from the distractions of dirty dishes and laundry. And I'm less likely to be solving mobile display issues at 11 o'clock at night. I'd like to thank Isabel and Andrew for making me so welcome at South Tribe. It's a funky, fun place to work from and I'm loving the new people I'm meeting.
