WE DID IT | The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Cancer Therapy Centre team raised more than their $15,000 target for Dry July Foundation. The team want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported them in their first year of fundraising! The money will help purchase new chemotherapy chairs.

HELLO I AM Sam Burns. Sam is Bankstown Cancer Therapy Centre's McGrath Breast Care Nurse. She has worked in cancer care for 10 years and said the best part of the job was being able to support patients and their families through a difficult time. "And being able to put a smile back on their faces," she said. Sam has been passionately fundraising for the Dry July team.

World Breastfeeding Week
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding Week through street art with high school students. Students from Bankstown Senior College visited the hospital to create a colourful entrance on the footpath, using this year's theme "empowering parents enabling breastfeeding". The annual tradition is one way the District educates the next generation on the importance of breastfeeding.
