This week we'd like to celebrate the wonderful progress made by Aneesa. She's 3 years old and was very nervous about coming to lessons but each week we see her confidence (and her smile) grow. Aneesa really enjoys her lessons and is now starting to recognise the first sound in different words which is an essential part of the reading process. We're so proud of how well she is doing, great job Aneesa!

Our super student of the week is Jayden! We've seen him progress from our Little Bears Club all the way to the final stages of our I Can Read Program where he is now reading (and loving!) his first chapter book. Jayden, we are so proud of you!

This week we're excited to introduce not just one, but two of our students! This is Layla (3 years old) and Ethan (4 years old). They're brother and sister so have been coming to our Little Bears Club together. However, this was their final lesson in the same class as Ethan is now moving up to our I Can Read Preliminary Program but we're sure it won't be long until Layla joins him! Well done Ethan and Layla!

We've had a very busy start to our term with lots of new students and classes. Here's a student who has been working with us for a little while now and her big smile says it all! Mariam has progressed to the final stage of the I Can Read Program so is now reading chapter books and has gained such confidence; often asking to read aloud rather than avoiding it. We're so pleased to have helped her along the way. Well done Mariam, we're really proud of you!

As we come to the end of a fantastic term at I Can Read Bankstown, we'd like to congratulate one more student. This is Ethan and as you can see, he's been working on persuasive writing in our Advanced Language and Literacy Program. I'm sure you'll agree his advertisement is very eye-catching! We're excited that he'll be joining us for our school holiday program to practise his creative writing as we know he's got lots of fantastic ideas!
