Earlier this year, Doctors on Darling moved to a state of the art Heritage Building “The Balmain Professional Centre” at 3 Montague Street, Balmain. Our new location is spacious and offers disability parking and access via a ramp and internal lift.
The team at Doctors on Darling comprises of 10 General Practitioners, a Dietitian/Sports Dietitian and an Aesthetic Technician.
Most of our Doctors participate in the Antenatal Shared Care program.
Our services include:
• Childhood immunisations, development and growth assessment
• Travel advice and vaccinations
• Insurance, school entry and pre-employment medicals
• Diagnosis and management of Chronic Health conditions eg) Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc
• Skin cancer screening
• Smoking cessation
• Men and Women’s health care
• Preventative health care
• Mental health care and counselling
• Minor surgical procedure
• Contraception including contraceptive implant and IUD insertion
In addition to our GP services, Dr Charteris & Dr Boyd also perform injectable cosmetic procedures for wrinkle relaxation and dermal filling.
Doctors on Darling is a private billing practice Open 6 days a week Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6pm and Saturdays 9am to 12pm. Bulk billing applies only to certain concession card holders, please see reception for more information.

This week, several of the doctors undertook further training in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Fortunately there are an increasing number of effective tablets as well as insulin therapy to be used in conjunction with diet, exercise and lifestyle modification to achieve good blood sugar control and reduce the risk of complications. If you have concerns about your diabetes or other health issues, please schedule an appointment to discuss this with your Doctor. The General Practitioners at "Doctors on Darling" seek to continually update their skills and practices in a number of ways. This week there was new information looking at the integrated role of minimally invasive breast surgery, combined with breast conserving surgery and breast reconstructive surgeries for breast cancer. Additionally, General Practitioners will soon be able to prescribe antiviral medication with view to cure of Hepatitis C infections. Meningococcal B vaccine to remain in short supply
*** Bexsero Update *** As many of our patients are aware, Bexsero has been going out of stock for most of the year due to a Global shortage. Unfortunately, we now only have a very small amount of allocated stock left. We have commenced a waiting list which will be priortised to those due to complete their schedule and will then take on new schedules. We have been advised that stock will not be available until the end of January 2017.
