Last night Awaba RFB brushed up on our use of Foam. It might sound odd, but when we deploy foam, it makes water wetter!!!! Foam is a great tool at our disposal for flammable liquid spills or for those troublesome logs in the scrub, among its other great uses. Here in the twilight we see our members practicing putting down a wet line, great for when you need a fire break in a hurry! And in the other photos you see what happens when you get foam in the water tank on the truck...... Oops!!! Awaba RFB trains each Tuesday night at our station on Adelaide St Awaba at 6:30. Drop in and say hi!

Each Tuesday night Awaba RFB conducts training exercises to help maintain our members skill levels, so that when confronted with all manner of situations we are ready and able to provide the best assistance we can. Here our members are seen performing simulated structure fires. Water availability is always one of our main concerns, and practicing our water relaying skills between our trucks is imperative as is quick access to a water hydrant. Many thanks to our members who attended training last night, and if you would like to become a member of our brigade, then please by all means drop in to Awaba RFB station at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night and have a chat!
