Shower repair

This shower had a cracked base so we removed it, treated the slab penetration with termite protection, waterproofed the recess, installed a new bed, tiled the shower floor and installed a new shower screen.

Rotten retaining wall rebuild

This treated pine retaining wall was only 6 years old. It looked 'ordinary' at first glance with a few obviously rotten sleepers but on closer inspection and with a few 'technical taps' with a hammer it became pretty obvious that it was in bad shape. It could have lasted longer if built with good drainage, even longer if treated Hardwood used instead. I reckon the new one will be there for a couple of decades at least.
