* * * DREADLOCK CREATION * * * Lovely Umu came to see me for dreadlock creation. She chose me over other locticians and stylists because I do not use any chemicals, waxes or products and she felt this was really important to her. Dreadlocks can be created a number of different ways. My method involves a tiny crochet hook, a comb and a unique method of weaving hair strands together, to create super tight, neat dreadlocks!

Hi all, I hope you are all well. Just letting you know that I'm out of action for at least a week. I had a pretty traumatic experience yesterday. My beloved little Wispy cat was mauled by a dog. She is still at the vet in a stable but serious condition and there is hope she will recover. I am ok, mostly traumatised by what I saw and experienced. I'll be taking appointments next week. ***M A I N T E N A N C E *** Guillaume popped by to have his dreadlocks neatened up a little. They are only a few months old and are holding tight and strong but he prefers a neater, more tidy dreadlock look. Here is his before and after pic :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! The colour, the wraps, such an awesome look! Wraps are great because you can add colour and have a partial dreadlock look without having to colour, bleach or dread your hair. *** NEW DREADLOCK CREATION*** Nick came to see me for dreadlock creation. Two and a half hours later, all done. Nice, neat, tight dreadlocks. No wax, no chemicals, no product of any kind! These baby dreads will mature nicely in no time at all!

** M A K E O V E R *** Tim came to see me a little while ago for some maintenance. It turned out to be a little more work than I anticipated. A little love, a lot of patience and voilà... a nice, neat set of dreads 😊

The dreadlocks that I installed months previously had bulked out nicely! I love her dreadlocks, they're a perfect blend of wild and tamed <3

Laura came to see me a little while a go to tidy up her dreadlocks. I did some maintenance on them and also created a few more dreads on top. When I create your dreadlocks they will usually be thin and very tight, but as they mature they bulk up. I will post a pic tomorrow of her dreads when she came back for another maintenance. You will be able to see the amazing difference!

I love this photo! A dreadlock style can be achieved without the need to dread your hair at all! These dreadies are synthetic extensions that are either plaited, tied or clipped into her hair. If you'd like to try this out, let me know and I can make a set of extensions for you. You can easily install them yourself or I can put them in for you. It's a good way to test out the dread life if you are a bit hesitant to go all in at once.

Here are 3 pics of Leoa's dreads. The first shot is a before pic (her dreadlock journey began while waiting in queue at BOOM Festival in Portugal, so exciting and random!) The second pic is after a maintenance session with me, and the third pic is after placement of dread extensions. An amazing transformation! What do you think?
