Treasurer Tim Pallas today turned the first sod on the $250,000 redevelopment of the Lake Fyans project which will see even more visitors flock to the pristine Grampians region. In April 2016 the Andrews Labor Government announced funding of $187,500 towards the project to boost local tourism, create new jobs and support the iconic Grampians. The project will develop a 9.6 kilometre walking track around the perimeter of Lake Fyans, along with fencing, shade shelters, upgraded and new toilets, signage, nature trails and bird trails. Importantly, the project will generate nine construction jobs, three ongoing jobs and secure five existing jobs in the Northern Grampians Shire Council region.

Christmas is a great time for families, but it is also a time to reflect on all of the good things in our lives. We are very fortunate to live in a democratic, free country, unlike many other places in the world. The spirit of Christmas is alive and well in the towns and communities across Ripon. From Beaufort to Donald, Ararat to Inglewood, Stawell to Bridgewater. Christmas is a time to celebrate, catch up with loved ones and remember we live in one of the best places on earth. It is also a time to include those people who can't be with family on this day. Merry Christmas from your local Member Jaala Pulford MP and your local Labor team 🎄 (picture: the Christmas tree in Beaufort's town centre)
