A British school in Valencia, Spain. We aim to create a caring "home" environment for students which will enable them to develop to their full potential. Our Mission:

The mission of the school is firstly to create a warm, caring "home" environment for students which will enable them to develop to their full potential, regardless of their natural ability. The school also aims to provide a stimulating, purposeful learning environment which encourages lifelong learning.

School Stakeholders:

The school currently has approximately 1300 students. Of these students 5% are English with the remaining percentage being made up of other nationalities primarily Spanish. Most students enter the school at the age of 3 and continue with us until University. We currently have 160 students in the Sixth Form with some of these studying a Higher National Diploma (HND). Cambridge House has approximately 75 members of teaching staff, 25 support staff and 25 auxiliary staff. The leadership and management of the school operates in a collegiate manner with responsibility for maintaining effective school operations. The facilities on site include a Sixth Form recreational area, a business centre, a music studio with recording capabilities, 3 hard courts, 3 ICT suites, A gym, A concert Hall, An outdoor stage, A Bio-House and a garden encompassing around 14´000 meters squared.

Entry Requirements:

Gaining entry into the Infant school can be difficult as it is very popular, and the school is currently oversubscribed. The values and mission of the school are reflected in our selection policy. The school has no specific requirements for those who join but prospective students much visit the school and take part in an interview to determine if the fit between the student and the school is correct and if this is the most appropriate learning environment for them. Adults with no previous qualifications are also considered for the HND courses should they have relevant work experience and the desire to succeed.

Accreditation:

Cambridge House Community College is the first school in Spain to gain double accreditation achieving the B.S.O (British Schools Overseas) standard and the NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain) accreditation. The school has been offering an excellent British education following the English National Curriculum since 1986.

Teaching and Learning:

Most students study at least three languages to A level. We now offer five HNDs which students can study alongside A levels. We have a specialist team teaching HND Business, Hospitality, Hospitality with Culinary Arts, Sport and Leisure Management and Performing Arts.
We also offer 20 subjects at A level irrespective of individual subject numbers. Due to careful timetabling and generous staffing students can take up to 7 A levels simultaneously; most take at least 5 subjects.

Academic Performance:

Students' receive an excellent education based on the best tenets of the English education system culminating in A levels or HND. More than 95% of our students passed at least 5 IGCSEs with grades A* to C. In subjects as Coordinated Sciences (double award), History and foreign languages, we obtained 100% pass rate. In A-levels we obtained 100% pass rates in most subjects. all the students have obtained their Spanish equivalent "bachillerato" title and grades to allow them to apply for and start the University course of their choice both in Spain and in the U.K. Lastly we would like to mention that this year our first cohort of students (10) have successfully attained an HND and have gained entrance to Universities in the United Kingdom (UK) including Nottingham, Bournemouth and South Bank. Our A-level students also receive favorable offers from top universities in the UK. We have students attending Cambridge University reading Natural Sciences and Medicine and students at Imperial College London, Edinburgh, Durham and Warwick University.
