When you get a puppy, no matter how cute it is, remember you're raising it as the dog it will grow into and not the baby you think it is. If it's not acceptable at a year old don't let it be acceptable at 3 months. Great example of this is Max, the lab I worked with a couple weeks back. Max was not a confident puppy and didn't get the support he needed from people early on. This created a nervous-aggressive dog that couldn't function in a pack or with new people. Now that we've worked past that aspect of him he's going to need someone to continue it. If you're looking for a medium energy, social, affectionate large dog, he'd be perfect for your home. Bear in mind if you're not able to control other members of your pack, he isn't right for you.

Worked with Charlie, the 6 month German Shepherd for two weeks and was able to return her to her owner today. Using tools like the long lead and pinch collar have enabled me and in turn her owner to be able to enjoy and control their big Shepherd. In time they'll be able to go completely off leash while maintaining full control.
