old baxi out this week and new one in its place, new gas run, treated and inhibited with 7 yrs warranty.. can you spot the make shift bung which had to be used when the drain off sheared straight off the bottom of the cylinder with 150 ltrs of water above it.. Chris who helped me out on this job, had to ring me for help, I was downstairs in the kitchen, he was in the loft... good job we wasnt working alone!!

Installed a couple of these bad boys today for a customer.. supplied by the customer but came with decent brackets and real quality valves too.... make all the difference on installation and future durability... great heat output too

So, the hottest day of the year so far, heatwave all over Europe.... I know, I'll get out on my bike.... No I wont! Last two day ripping out an old storage boiler and replaced with baxi 636 (7 year warranty) and 7m of horizontal flue running straight through the roof space! Hotter than Paris up there i tell you

Running the system through a magna cleanse this morning, to filter out any sludge after a boiler change... Last image shows sludge on the magnetic rods Not too bad to be honest Removing sludge improves boiler efficiency, component life and general wear on systems....
