Have You Seen John Sawchuk? #MissingPerson Sunshine Coast BC #RCMP seeking your help locating 47 year-old John Sawchuk, who was reported missing on May 1 by a staff member at a shelter in Sechelt. John had been regularly staying at the cold-weather shelter in Sechelt, however he has not been seen since 8 am on April 29. John took all of his belongings with him, however staff expected him to return again that night. To date, police have been unable to locate any of John’s family, and do not have any leads as to where he might have gone. Prior to living on the Sunshine Coast, John also spent time in the Vancouver area, as well as in Nanaimo and in the north Okanagan area. John is described as: 47 year-old white male 5’10, medium build, with short brown hair, and a goatee Walks with a limp and uses a cane Often wears a "Tilley" hat, glasses, and a trench coat A photo of John is attached, although it is believed that his hair is somewhat longer now. If you have seen John anytime after 8 am on April 29, or if you have any information that could help police to locate him, please contact Sunshine Coast RCMP at (604) 885-2266.
