An indoor imaginative play centre for children, where they have the opportunity to learn and play through role play in our 'little world'. Recently opened Little World of Play is a new and exciting children's imaginative play centre near Dunfermline in Fife.
Primarily aimed at 0-8 year olds; the size and scale of Little World of Play makes it quite unique. We believe we're currently the biggest and best children's role play centre in the UK.
Little World of Play provides a welcome alternative to the usual soft play when you're looking to entertain the kids. Although we do indeed have a soft play for little one's to burn off their energy, the focus is on imaginative role play, backed by years of expert research in child development and the first of its kind in Scotland.
Little World of Play is a small version of any average town with realistic mini versions of all the usual shops and businesses; such a supermarket, fire station, beauty salon, hospital, vet surgery, police station, a disco and much more - all in the perfect mini size to inspire the imaginations of little people.
They can drive around our mini world in toy cars and jeeps, complete work on the construction site or they may even want to become the star of the stage in our specially designed theatre!
Role play is not only fun, but also vital for children's development - encouraging imagination, creativity, helping to develop social skills and their understanding of the world around them. Commended by nursery and primary school teachers Little World of Play fully supports the curriculum for excellence and has proven a useful resource in the 'Developing the Young Workforce' (DYW) programme.
For the grown ups, there's plenty of comfortable seating and a cafe serving breakfast and lunch for you to enjoy whilst you keep an eye of your little ones.

🎉🎉Changes!!🎉🎉 We’ve been up working quite a few nights with our builder and finally our Post Office and Ice-Cream take away are complete! 😁🍦🍨🍭📮📪📦🏷✉️ Can your little one deliver the parcels to the correct business and fit the shape through the post box? 😜 We’ve also made quite a few further upgrades and enhancements throughout our ‘little world’ with a new kitchen and lots of new food for the little chefs to prepare, we’ve added another fun educational element to the Supermarket with picture shopping lists for little one’s to collect and there’re new costumes and props throughout. We continually invest to keep our ‘little world’ a fresh, fun learning and creative environment for our little visitors. Look 👀 out for further changes to keep your little one’s imagination ignited! We were fully booked tomorrow, however we now have couple of last minute spaces in the 9.30-11.30am play session as a couple of people have rescheduled as there wasn’t enough space for friends who hadn’t yet booked.
