HELPING HANDS NEEDS YOUR HELP THANK YOU: First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of our parishioners who have so generously, over the years, supported our ministry by providing food and services. WHAT ARE WE: We are a ministry of the parish, who for 40+ years have been providing a service to bereaved families. We provide a reception for families and friends following the death of a loved one, in order to help eliminate stress at a very sad time. Our parishioners (volunteers) provide us with food, i.e. (salads, deserts, rolls, cheese, chips, etc.) when we call upon them. HELP: Over the last few years we have lost many of our volunteers through death or leaving the area. WHAT WE NEED: We are in need of additional volunteers, both men and women, to replace our lost love ones in order to continue this ministry. We are also in need of volunteers to help us set up tables and chairs, and to take them down again once the reception is over. Volunteers who can help us to re-plate the food and prepare it for serving, as well as serve and clean up. On May 6th 40 young people were confirmed by Bishop Soto. And on May 20th 84 students received their First Eucharist from Father Mauricio and seminarian Manny. They were both glorious celebrations. May the Lord continue to bless these young people on their spiritual quests. Amen!
