If you get a fake virus warning pop-up, PLEASE do not call the toll-free number... It will not end well. These folks love to gain access, then use fear & intimidation to sell you hundreds of dollars worth of worthless computer services. When you say no, they create havoc or lock your machine with a password. These folks especially love to prey on the elderly, so please educate everyone you know to NOT call the number on your screen. If you do allow these folks into your machine, shut the power off immediately, hang up, and give us a call. Remember, always use local, trusted technical support services. This is what happens when you don't check up on your antivirus and anti-malware tools on a regular basis. Thankfully, this one is fixable, but there is a significant infection of Rogue & Trojan viruses, as well as almost a thousand instances of malware. The Windows 10 Creator update is rolling out... it is a bit over 4 GB in size and downloads in the background. Once it starts, your looking at a solid 45 minutes to an hour for the update to install. This is the reason your computer is slow. (the pre-download) For those of you on metered connection such as cellular data plans, be careful, as this will destroy your data plan.
