The third Great Dane Pub is one of the key attractions of the newly renovated Hilldale Mall on Madison’s near west side. Opened in December of 2006, The Great Dane at Hilldale is located across the street from the Sundance 608 Cinema complex. In 2009 a 4,000 square foot Billards Lounge was added to the Hilldale Pub, providing space for games, live music and additional dining in sumptuous high-backed booths. The Hilldale Great Dane features several small dining areas including a private room for up to twenty guests and a one-table VIP room. Two gas fireplaces make the Pub cozy in winter, while the two patios (one with Madison’s only outdoor pool table!) are perfect for summer fun. For your preferred drinking atmosphere, choose from the gracefully curved bar in the main barroom or the three-sided pool hall bar- great for people watching and viewing our fully functional brewery!
The Sunday brunch buffet offered at the Fitchburg and Hilldale Pubs was voted the city’s best in Madison Magazine’s reader’s poll. You will see why when you choose from the more than forty food options including made-to-order omelets and a prime rib carving station. Check out the Upcoming Events calendar to see when your favorite area DJ will be providing the ultimate musical atmosphere in the Billiards lounge. Badger fans should be sure to catch the radio shows of Bo Ryan and Mike Eaves broadcast live from the Hilldale Pub- one more reason why The Great Dane at Hilldale is the place to be on Madison’s west side.
