Clean Up Your Diet Wish you knew more about how to eat clean? Keep reading. It’s a new fad in the diet world but it actually goes back to the beginning of time, before the advent of processed and refined foods. Clean eating isn’t another strict diet plan that tells you to eat more protein, fewer carbohydrates, or a certain number of calories. Rather, it’s about eating whole foods—healthy foods from each food group in their most natural state. Modern food production has made this difficult, but not impossible. And if you’re willing to change your shopping habits, you can eat clean without too much effort. If the idea of eating clean interests you, keep reading to learn more about what it entails. You are what you eat, so don’t be fast, cheap, easy, or fake. - Unknown What Not to Eat It’s easier said than done, but clean eating means cutting back on processed foods, sugars, and meat. A food that’s been processed means it has added ingredients, its consistency has been changed, or it’s been heated or cooked. That said, not all processed foods are bad for you. What you want to watch out for are highly processed foods. These usually include ingredients such as preservatives, additives, colors, flavors, added sugars, sodium, unhealthy fats, refined grains, and pesticides. If it comes in a box, it’s likely got one of these. One way to eliminate unnecessary ingredients is by examining food labels. The fewer the ingredients a food has, the better. If there’s a word you can’t pronounce or one you’ve never heard of, it’s likely not an ingredient that’s a part of clean eating. What to Eat The best way to eat clean is to shop the outer edges of a grocery store. Most stores are organized to have processed foods located on the inner isles. Along the perimeter of the store is usually where you’ll find foods that fit comfortably in a clean diet. First, load up on fresh fruits and vegetables. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, a diet high in fruits and vegetables is known to protect against obesity and disease. Choose organic produce whenever possible for clean eating. It may be more expensive, but it cuts back on the amount of pesticides, hormones, and chemicals you’re exposed to. Clean eating is also about whole grains. Skip the white bread, cereals, and pastas and look for those made with whole grains—wheat, oats, quinoa, rye, or wild rice. Make sure the ingredient label lists a whole grain as the first ingredient. Whole grains are high in fiber and antioxidants that protect from disease and whole grains are less processed. For protein, clean eating includes eggs, hormone-free dairy, nuts, and beans. Meat, poultry, and fish in moderation are considered acceptable, but processed meats like sausage, bacon, and deli meats should be eaten rarely. Why Eat Clean? It’s so much easier and less expensive to eat processed foods, so why the hassle and cost of clean eating? Because the extra effort pays off in better health. A plant-based diet that’s high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and nuts is known to prevent health conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, cancer, and high blood pressure. With the right foods you’ll have more energy, a healthier body, a thinner waste line, better skin, healthier hair, and stronger nails. The way you eat not only affects your health but the health of the planet as well. Clean eating is one way you can do your part to protect the environment. Purchasing organic foods means contributing to the use of fewer herbicides, pesticides, and harmful fertilizers. And eating fewer animal products leads to a reduction in the amount of energy used in meat production. So if you’re interested in your health as well as that of the planet, clean eating is a good first step!

Can you believe the 4th of July is a few days away? Many of you have emailed me for a game-plan on how to eat. Here's a super simple plan that will help you stay on track & give you the flexibility to eat whatever you want on the 4th!💥🇺🇸 Let's do this... Your SIMPLE Game-Plan For The 4th of July 1) Focus today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday) on lower carb, high protein, and healthy fats. This means eating lots of vegetables, proteins like chicken, beef, fish, and healthy fats like avocado, nuts, nut butter, etc. A sample meal would be grilled chicken and asparagus, with this delicious avocado salad. Avocado Salad: 1 avocado chopped, 1 diced tomato, 1 diced cucumber, 2 tablespoons olive oil,1 medium lemon, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and ENJOY! 2) Get in a few short High Intensity Interval Workouts (10-15 minutes is good enough). Here's one I enjoy: EMOM EVERY MINUTE ON THE MINUTE 💥12 Jump Lunges (6 each leg) 💥10 plank jacks Every minute on the minute complete the exercises listed. If you finish the exercises before the minute is up take the rest of the minute off. Repeat 10 rounds. This is SUCH an easy way to burn some extra calories and fat and open up those glycogen stores to shuttle in the carbs you'll eat on the 4th of July. So do your best to get in a short workout today, tomorrow, and on the 4th. 10-15 minutes is all you need, and your bodyweight is perfect for this (since many people are traveling). If you need some ideas, go to our Instagram: @josejuarbept 3) Start your day with protein then eat what you want on the 4th (YAY!)💥💥💥💥💥💥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 On the morning of the 4th, start your day with a high protein meal. Something simple like some 💥Advocare Muscle Gain 💥Meal Replacement Shake Or 2-4 eggs works great. Go out and enjoy yourself the rest of the day. Eat the foods you love and don't feel guilty about it. There's no need to! After following #1 and #2 these next few days, you're body will be primed and ready for the 4th to indulge in all the foods you want. So go out and enjoy yourself :) Then immediately after the 4th... 4) Start Your 10-Day Cleanse & our 7 Day Rapid Fat Loss Plan! Start this July 5th! This will give you everything you need to really jump start your fat burning and prime your metabolism to burn even more fat. Plus... It's SUPER simple to follow. We lay everything out for you! And like everything we do: No counting. No weighing. No measuring. No starving yourself. Start This July 5th - 10 Day Cleanse & Rapid Fat Loss! Have a great Sunday :) -Jose Juarbe P.S.
