Freelance photographer and artist based in Torphins Aberdeenshire Based in Torphins, Aberdeenshire, my personal work is mainly based on my surroundings and the ever changing landscape and my freelance work covers everything from live music and events to location scouting, web photography and commissions
In 2008 I started out as a family portrait photographer for a large company, after gaining Rookie Photographer of the year and over 12 months in this role I took the plunge to go back to further education and embrace my love of photography. I undertook my HNC and HND photography at Aberdeen College where I was awarded the Purchase Prize for the art, design and photography sector in 2011 with my collection of colour images that were shot on 120 film. Since graduating from Gray's School of Art with a B.A. in Commercial Photography I have had both solo and group exhibitions locally in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and also St Andrews, showing a vast array of my work.
I have gained experience as a location scout photographer in 2014 during a fantastic 3 month internship opportunity with the Aberdeen city and shire Film Office, getting the chance to photograph over 150 top filming locations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

So since #NEOS 2017 is creeping closer (how very exciting) Thought I would give you all a wee update.... This year's North East Open Studios will be my last event for a wee while as I'm overjoyed to be expecting wee baba Walker to make an appearance in mid October. I'm excited to be decorating a chair for the Chair Art project, which raises money for the Forget Me Not Club. The chairs will be on display during NEOS this year at Glenbuchat Hall, Sept 9th - 17th then auctioned off. Watch this space! :)
