we've been presented with some truly shocking aluminium tig welding this week by well known "professionals" and some who shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a welder, none of which have been done for us we're just tasked with putting it right. luckily for you slickers rather than attempt it ourselves knowing how hit and miss old magnesium alloy castings can be we use a local guy who knows his stuff and always turns out top class welding that is 100%. be careful who you use slickers, the welding may not be expensive for you but a poorly welded engine casing or component could end up costing a fortune.

evening slickers, not much to report today just fettling, pressure testing, filling and a bit of running about. doing loads and getting behind as usual. anyway, its slick so there!!

morning slickers, i bet you were all thinking " lazy bastards having a day off again" yesterday, but the slick team spent the day at Diablo Moto in the company of Neil Johnston, Ady Sivv and the legend that is Alan Terry giving the px-orcist its initial set up on the dyno to make sure its within perameters to be ridden safely. needs a bit more love as for a pile of new parts out of boxes its only kicking out 26hp but a rather impressive 23lb/ft of torque so a few more adjustments needed. its nice to be part of the real scooterboy fashion, not the mod look and lights and mirrors but the greying, balding, middle aged spread look with oily fingernails, the smell of two stroke and a passion born from sheds not catalogues. aint none of us getting any younger. watch and learn Jamie Lawn youre the next generation overweight balding clever bastard. now thats slick!!!!
