Cheap days out #7 or is it #8? Down to Margate...... The beach, Dreamland, The Turner, Only fools and Horses, cockles, whelks and more ice cream than you can shake a stick at :) parking can be a pain so get there early, a day isn't realy long enough to do the Margate experience but then I'm a little biased as I spent a lot of my youth in this seaside jewel. Buckets and spades are a must as is sand in your sandwiches!! A whole day can just slip by in no time making sandcastles (why do adults always hog the bucket and spade?) But there is so much more to explore :) finish the day off watching the sun go down with a bag of chips as the kids fall asleep on your lap, memories are made for days like these....... ☺

Cheap days out #7 One of my favourites this one, which I haven't done for a while, as they say in robin of sher wood ( kevin Costner version) "to the trees" a visit to the woods be it Perry wood, Kings wood, or clowes wood, you just can't beat it. The kids, the dog, + bikes if your feeling brave and a picnic what could be easier, take a ball of twine from the pound shop and a cheap tarpaulin and den building is on the menu, the day just flys by :) the older children love a treasure hunt, print sheets out with pictures before you leave home

Cheap days out #6 With typical summer holiday weather, where can you go when it's raining cats and dogs? Well empty your penny pot and take a short trip down the coast to Hernebay where the kids can spend a few hours popping 2 pence pieces into the "tuppenny shove machines" in the arcades, a few quid goes a long way and afterwards you could buy some chips and sit eating them in one of the shelters on the seafront, we're going with the grand children, who knows this time next week we could be millionaires !!

Cheap days out #5 Fancy a bit if retail therapy but got the kids in tow? Go to ashford designer outlet and let the kids run free on the playground or wear them out in the zorbs!!

CHEAP DAYS OUT #3 Here's a cheap day suggested by one of our parent Joss Bay leisure Now the kids have broken up, we are open every day through out the summer. £5 all day play. Still one of the best and cheapest days out available. Elwood avenue parking is still free. And residents now need pay only £2.50 ALL DAY with the new voucher scheme , (you need to apply).
