Hello everyone - we are going to have an informal and relaxed BBQ next Sunday (27th), 1pm - 4pm (but obviously not strict). Bring family and any friends that are interested in the allotments. We'll bring some food, but bring your own too, and bring your own drinks too.

Hello everyone - can people please be extra vigilant about the top gate - please make sure the gate is locked behind you when you enter/leave the site. Last week a purse was stolen from a car parked on the site (so please also lock your vehicles when parked!), strangers have been spotted several times on the site lately. It must be tempting to leave the gate open, but please close it behind yourself, the lock is unfortunately there for a good reason.

The evidence is incontravertable; isn't it time ALL USE OF GLYPHOSAE/ ROUNDUP was BANNED on our site, altogether.

Warning to all plotholders - there have been a number of break ins at allotment sites across the city and power tools have been taken from sheds, so don't leave anything valuable on site.

If you're using weedkiller, could you please be aware that it is a harmful substance and take great care when using it, especially when spraying. Don't use it anywhere other than on your own plot and don't leave it unattended. Walking through spills or sprayed areas could tread it around or children playing or dogs could come into contact with it. There are notes in the allotment rules about using and storing chemicals. Many thanks.

We’re getting lots of enquiries from people interested in renting allotments - we have several vacancies for full and half plots. If you’d like to have a look round, please call in and say hello on Saturdays or Sundays, 11am – 1pm. The gate on Edwin Road should be open and there is usually someone at the old house in the middle of the site. You can also apply for an allotment online through B'ham City Council - there's information about plot sizes and rents here: https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/allotments
