Course Reminder - National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, starts 8th March, pre-course enrolment required Have you ever considered a job in the leisure industry, working as part of a team to provide leisure services to your local community? If so then a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is a must. Periodically the Comhairle advertises for contracted posts and relief staff to work in our Sports Centre Facilities. Currently we have a range of employment opportunities available at Liniclate Sports Centre. For Leisure & Recreation Attendant posts, contracted or relief it is essential that applicants hold a Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) NPLQ certificate. Liniclate Sports Centre is coordinating an RLSS NPLQ course which, starts March 8th, please see poster for more details. This qualification can be used at virtually every pool in the UK so is a great way of finding employment as a student etc. It only takes 38 hours and you need to be aged over 16 to undertake the course. You must be aged 17 or above to be employed by the Comhairle as a Leisure and Recreation Attendant. If you would like to register for this course please contact the sports centre on 01870 603693 for an enrolment form or to speak to one of our NPLQ Trainers/Duty Officers, who can give you more information.
