Description

ad

A beautifully restored six person / three bedroom town house in central Westport, on the Atlantic coast of Ireland for holiday rentals. The Westport Bit is a holiday home for rental in the centre of beautiful Westport, County Mayo, on the Atlantic Coast of Ireland. It's a holiday rental and not a hotel, but Facebook doesn't have that category so we have to put it on as a hotel!

We go there as often as we can and rent it out when we're not there. We mainly use AirBnB but friends can rent it for slightly less by going directly to our website.

The building dates from 1860 and is in the middle of a classic Victorian terrace in the centre of town. It has been restored to a high standard and now makes for a perfect base for exploring Westport and the surrounding area. The thick old stone walls and newly installed triple-glazed wooden sash windows mean that although the house is only a minute from the bustle of Westport, when inside the house it’s beautifully quiet and peaceful.

BEDROOMS

There are three bedrooms, two large doubles with king sized beds, and one twin with two singles. All the bedrooms are newly restored and have feather/down duvets and good quality cotton linen.

BATHROOM AND UTILITY ROOM

We’re really happy with the bathroom. It’s large, luxurious and lovely. There’s a large walk in shower and a separate claw foot bath. Plus a loo and a wash basin of course.

There’s a separate utility room, that has a second loo, large wash basin and a washing machine.

KITCHEN

The kitchen has a new gas hob, electric fan oven and a slimline dishwasher. There’s a microwave, kettle, toaster, large cafetière, loads of lovely old crockery and glasses and plenty of utensils.

DINING ROOM AND SITTING ROOM

The two downstairs receptions are separated by a joining door. The dining room at the back has an extending table and chairs whilst the sitting room at the front has comfortable period furniture (50s perhaps?) and an open fire. The south facing sash windows at the front make for a beautiful and warm room.
