Design & Crafts Council of Ireland's events page for trade and consumer exhibitions promoting contemporary Irish design and craft.  
The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI) is the main champion of the design and craft industry in Ireland, fostering its growth and commercial strength, communicating its unique identity and stimulating quality design, innovation and competitiveness. DCCoI's activities are funded by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation via Enterprise Ireland. DCCoI currently has over 75 member organisations and over 3,000 registered clients.
In collaboration with partner organisations, DCCoI is convening Irish Design 2015 (ID2015) on behalf of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Enterprise Ireland. Ambitious, wide-reaching and innovative, ID2015 is a year-long programme exploring, promoting and celebrating Irish design through signature events on the island of Ireland as well as in prestigious partner venues in international capitals of design and commerce. www.dccoi.ie

Mise Éire? Shaping a Nation through Design, a two-day conference exploring national identity as seen through the lens of design and craft, will take place at National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks on Nov 4 & 5 as part of the Decade of Centenaries programme, with contributions from Irish and international historians, academics, designers, makers and curators. Internationally-renowned author and ceramic artist Edmund de Waal will deliver the keynote address on Friday, and leading Irish sociologist Professor Tom Inglis will give the keynote on Saturday. The event is being hosted by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland in partnership with the National Museum of Ireland. Tickets €65 (€40 student concessions). Global Irish Design Challenge exhibition

The first in the new series of Design Bites lunchtime talks at the Coach House, Dublin Castle is "Communicating through Design", this Thurs 23 June at 1.10pm as part of the Global Irish Design Challenge exhibition programme. The talk brings together Alison Hackett and Garrett Bennis who produced The Visual Time Traveller a project telling 500 years of history, art and science through a hundred graphic designs; along with Damien O’Connor of Brown Bag Films speaking about how serious narratives can be shared through animation: ANYA a short film telling the story of the life of a Russian orphan, as a unique initiative with To Russia With Love to help raise funds for the charity. https://design-bites-talks.eventbrite.ie
