We are proud to announce the award winning Play Grounds Café will be opening a second location "Play Grounds Bistro" at our hotel in the coming months! Full press release below: PRESS RELEASE The Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel is pleased to announce that the award-winning Play Grounds Café will be opening a second location at the Prestige Treasure Cove. The new location will be called “Play Grounds Bistro.” Play Grounds Café has been serving the Prince George community since fall 2015 as a family cafe providing high quality food in a stylish setting. Play Grounds has become a popular spot thanks to its gourmet fare, ethically sourced products and commitment to environmentally sustainable practices. Jeni Arnott, owner, operator and creator, has been recognized by the community of Prince George and the province of BC each year of being in business by holding true to her original vision. Play Grounds was recognized in the top 5 of 2015 for “Best Business Concept” by the SBBC. Then in 2016, was awarded “Innovator of the Year” at the Prince George Chamber of Commerce BEA’s and, not to be outdone, Play Grounds took home the hardware for “Business of the Year” and “Environmental Impact” at the 2017 BEA’s. The focus on family and healthy child development will always remain at the heart of the Quinn Street location. The new ‘Bistro’ will offer a Parisian inspired menu as a hospitality amenity and opportunity to prove our city’s potential for high quality service and products. Jeni intends to hold true to the business’ original mission by creating a new community inclusive space with Play Grounds Bistro. Play Grounds Bistro will be opening in the Spring of 2018 in the hotel lobby in the former Nu Spa space and service not only the hotel and casino clientele but be a second location to their already successful Play Grounds Café located on Quinn Street. The Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel, located at the junction of Highway 16 & 97 in Prince George, is locally owned and operated and is proud to support local entrepreneurs in showcasing all that Prince George and the North have to offer.
