Description
Girls School from Prep to Year 12, with Boarding from Year 6. Rockhampton Girls Grammar School is one of the original eight Grammar Schools of QLD.
Opening in 1892, Girls Grammar has served and supported the education of girls and young women for over 120 years.

Today we acknowledged Year 12 student Monique Hill with a Prefectship. It was a moment of recognition for the way in which Monique has committed herself to the life of the School as a senior leader.

Year 12 students recently took part in the P.A.R.T.Y (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth) Program at Rockhampton Hospital. Girls were taught the consequences of risky behaviour and were shown some of the intensive treatment required following accidents that can be prevented by not taking drugs, speeding or texting while driving.

Last night, Year 12 students - Natalie Bird, Kiara-Ann Crummer, Jestelle Cowley and Monique Hill competed against five other schools within the CQ Region in the 2017 Student Cooking Competition. Working with respect and a positive work ethic, the girls were able to produce three wonderfully creative dishes from the mystery box challenge. They also walked away overall winners with a score of 302.5! Congratulations girls!

Results are starting to come in from Rockhampton Eisteddfod. Congratulations Hannah Cowan, receiving two first places and three thirds in the Speech and Drama section receiving the 10 and under 12 girls Aggregate trophy. Fantastic!
