After a recent spate of BBQ gas cylinder fires and explosions "8" in a week in NSW alone, we are prompting everyone to check the gas cylinder, gas cylinder used by (inservice date), hoses for kinks, and signs of cracking and splitting and all connections. If in doubt swap it out. If your having a BBQ we would rather attend on social terms and not to put out a fire caused by faulty gas components!

This morning some of the crew of Fire & Rescue NSW Bundeena 080 station were out in the streets of Bundeena checking fire hydrants. We are getting ready for bushfire season and hopefully you are getting ready as well by cleaning your yard and gutters and trimming back the tree branches and shrubs overhanging your property.

Today Bundeena Fire & Rescue NSW 080 had a visit form the workshops to replace stickers fitted on the side of the fire truck. The New Stickers "Community First Response" replace the old stickers "Emergency Medical Response" which have been on for the last 2 years. Other Fire Rescue CFR units will also have their stickers replaced with the updated sign.
