Charming one bedroom Holiday Cottage in Portsoy, Sleeps 4. Auld Shop Cottage is a charming cottage in the seaside town of Portsoy, It was formally a grocers shop/family home which was built approximately 250 years ago c.1760. The auld shop was vacated and fell into a derelict state, until it was rebuilt in 1997. Today it still retains its auld charm.

Portsoy is a seaside town with a stunning 17th Century harbour at its heart. The cottage is just a 3 minute walk from the harbour and benefits from a partial sea view from the lounge window. The town has lots of local amenities and is a great base from which to explore the rich landscape of both Aberdeenshire and Moray from Mountain to sea.

The following facilities are available to make your stay a pleasant one.

All linen, towels, gas and electricity are included. The Auld Shop Cottage offers WiFi.

A washing machine, drying and ironing facilities are available (I am aware many people may not want to wash clothes while on holiday but for your convenience I will supply some clothes washing liquid/tablets) Dish-wash liquid and dish towels are provided.
To ease you into your holiday I will provide a free welcome starter pack which includes tea, coffee, fresh milk, butter, locally baked bread and biscuits so you can relax into your surroundings before having to go shopping.

The cottage offers full gas central heating but also has a victorian cast iron fireplace with the benefit of a living flame gas fire. The joy of a real fire without the hassle, enjoy sitting by the fire side looking out to sea.

Sorry no smoking or pets.

I can provide a high chair and cot at your request.

Auld Shop Cottage can offer 1 or 2 week breaks or short getaways of 3 or 4 days, the changeover days are Monday and Friday. Check-in time 2pm / checkout 10am. If you are staying for 2 weeks, I offer a full clean and linen change after 1 week.

Booking terms: A 25% deposit is required to secure booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation policy: 4 weeks prior to arrival - 50% of total booking. Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival - Full payment.
