Well after some cold winter days at last a change in the weather so I thought I would take the opportunity to have a day off and a day fishing. Also it would give me a chance to see how the Carp were coping with the winter! Well certainly no worries as I had 21 perfect conditioned plump carp to just under double figures.... not bad for late January! Simon Tupling also took advantage of the mild weather to fish the pole with white maggot and groundbait to take 54 Tench, Roach, perch, Rudd and Carp to 5lb

As the water temperatures drop the Butterswood die hards continue to take advantage of the good fishing. Great to see some old methods been used to catch quality roach and Rudd, punched bread on the Wagler was great to see 🙂

Some fantastic sessions this week with castors and maggots.... also the pellet is still working for some. What a cracking looking fish for Lee Nauyokas (7lb Ghost) and a prime conditioned Tench for the boss 🙂 lots and lovely roach, Rudd and perch (1lb+) also showing

Well after some unseasonably warm weather which raised the water temperature, the fishing was exceptional with some fantastic catches. After last weeks excitement when 70yr Anne George caught her 14lb 9oz Common carp, husband Tony who is 86yrs young returned and just failed to beat his wife..... landing a superb conditioned 14lb 5oz Common..... that's what you call keeping it in the family. Quality Roach, Rudd and Perch are starting to show on maggots and castors.... Simon Tupling catching a superb 2lb+ Perch

What a great couple of days.... firstly Rocket Ron weighed in with a mirror carp of 13lb 7oz then after a two week holiday at Butterswood Anne and Tony George returned with new poles purchased from our on site shop to try them out ..... well what a great start for 70yr old Anne who captured a beautiful 14lb 9oz Common carp and was unfortunate to lose an even bigger fish at the net .... another visitor with new tackle was Chris who came to try his new margin pole and his chariot.... 0-60 in 10mins 😂 Lyndon Bone also got in on the action with a 13lb 2oz mirror ( just one of 21 fish)
