Yesterday, the Government announced its plans for the £15 million tax fund generated by the sales of sanitary products. The Tampon Tax Fund has been established as a means of ensuring that, while the UK is unable to enforce a zero rate VAT on sanitary products, the taxes raised from these sales is invested into good causes that affect women throughout the UK. The ten causes that will be benefiting from the Tampon Tax Fund can be found at the link below. We are pleased to see that for so long as there is a requirement for VAT on sanitary products, the revenue generated will be used to support those who are likely to be contributing most to it.
