On this project, i modernised this old pine balustrade. I removed the old pine spindles and handrails. The old pine Newel posts are an integral part of the stair, so I left them in place, to get around this I then shaped and rapped the posts with sold white American Oak and some Oak Veneered MDF. I then made up a template and had some toughend glass made up, which i then inset into the posts, finishing off with some Oak Mop stick to create the hand rail.. My Customer had the Oak finished off with some good quality Osmo oil..

My clients brief was to give her garage a face lift, she wanted to have barn doors instead of the up and over.. I made the barn doors out of hardwood and lined the face with red pine lining boards.. I used Ceder cladding to clad the outside of the garage.. Really pleased how it all turn out..

Hamilton Kitchen

I'm a general Joiner which means i cover "all aspects of joinery".. but i have to say I've been finding myself doing a lot more kitchen installations in recent times.. On this project i got to install a really nice kitchen supplied by Howdens... This was a really enjoyable project to do, I got to do a nice Oak worktop which i varnished to a finish using a high quality floor varnish. I also got to build a nice bespoke birch ply shelving unit out of my favourite plywood...

Bearsden renovation

this is a renovation job i carried out at the beginning of the year.. i came into the project after the client had been let down by a no. of people.. i fitted new hardwood floors, new kitchen, new doors and finishing's throughout out.. as you can see from the photo's we stripped out the attic room and re-fitted it out, creating a built in cupboard at the top of the stairs..

The boys @sourcesigns done another cracking job on my new van... kept it a bit more minimal this time.. loving it😎 thanks lads

Cafe Alba - Refurbishment

WOW... That was an intense couple of weeks :D... On this Project we carried out the full refurbishment off the much loved Cafe Alba in Milngavie.. we had to work a lot of very long shifts to make this one happen, we had to have the cafe back open asap. ha.. didn't want the regulars missing out on their bacon rolls ;) So we all pulled together and made it happen... . luckily we had good experience from doing the fit out on their new Cumbernauld Cafe a year or so ago, that definitely made things flow a lot better... I have to say i'm very proud of this one, even more so because it's local to me.. Big thanks to the team for helping me make it happen, and a huge thanks to Glenn&Bridget for giving me the opportunity; and in trusting me to do this for them.. and most importantly for keeping us fed and stocked up on caffeine.. It really does look stunning.. Make sure you get over and check out the new menu and the stunning fresh look.

Here is a nice balustrade conversion i carried out just before Christmas.. I clad the stringer with american real oak veneered mdf; then fitted solid oak newel posts, and solid oak hand rails, I had to make templates up for the glass then have it laser cut to shape.. I then rebated the glass into the hand rails and newel post.. I was lucky enough to have a client that was happy for me to do my thing, her brief was "oak and glass please"... So oak and glass she got, I'm happy to report she was delighted with the finished job.. I love projects like these :)
