Glad valborgsmässoafton! Today is a special day in Sweden. This celebration of spring (finally) arriving stems from the Middle Ages and is celebrated all over Sweden. We burn the branches that suffered and fell down from the trees during winter. With that we rest assured trolls and other creatures of darkness will withdraw back into the forest. But most of all, sun and warmth is coming! Cheers to that! 🍀

In the category of heart warming experiences: today a wonderful couple who spend the night before their wedding ánd their wedding night here (the beautiful bride stepping out in her mesmerizing gown on her wedding day, I wish I took a picture!) came back, just to show their family where they had spend those memorable days. Realizing that Äppelgården is a magical place not only to me, but to many, is the best feeling ever!
