Charge d'Affaires Kerri S. Hannan recently visited Cargolux, Europe's largest all-cargo airline with a fleet of 26 all-Boeing aircraft, consisting of 12 747-400s and 14 747-8 freighter planes. Cargolux is the 8th largest cargo carrier in the world. CDA Hannan was hosted by Yves Mabbe, Director of Security and Moa Sigurdardottier, head of Corporate Communications for a tour of the maintenance facility. Claude Zehren, Executive Vice President for Flight Operations, facilitated a session in the flight simulator. CDA Hannan then met with Maxim Strauss, Vice-President for Corporate Development, to discuss Cargolux's growing business.

On August 17, Charge d'Affaires Kerri S. Hannan visited the Communes of Schengen and Mondorf les Bains. In Schengen, she met with Mayor Ben Homan and learned about the history of the European Union and Luxembourg's historical role in its formation, along with Schengen's economic development in the tourism and wine sectors. CDA Hannan also visited the organic winery Sennen-Hoffman. In Mondorf, First Alderman Steve Reckel, Les Thermes Director Pierre Plummer and retired teacher and historian Charlotte Strasser hosted CDA Hannan for lunch and a walking tour of the spa, the park, the city of Mondorf, and the new city hall.

They are served at almost every “carnival” fair, such a the Schueberfouer(happening right now), or at Christmas Markets, roadside stands, as well as at some local markets and festivities.
