ULs Enterprise Network – Connecting entrepreneurial minds and generating new business opportunities
The Network invites students from across all the disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the University to work together on enterprising projects through the following activities which will be organised on behalf of the Network:
- Arranging guest talks and workshops with successful entrepreneurs and established small businesses business owners.
- Linking up with The Nexus Innovation Centre located on campus, to experience and network with entrepreneurs who are starting and growing new businesses in all sectors
- Providing a series of workshops and practical guidelines on topics such as identifying business opportunities; undertaking market research; how to validate a new business idea and where to source funding for a new business idea;
- Organising talks from representatives of government development agencies such as Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices, commercial funders such as the Banks, Venture Capital Agencies on what they look for when funding projects
- Practical workshops on selling and pitching your business idea to panels such as the Dragons Den
Being part of this Enterprise Network will be fun; it will increase your network of contacts across the university and amongst the broader population of entrepreneurs and funding institutions.
