To all road users this morning, be careful out there Reports of some debris and spot flooding on roads this morning so far.
#CorkRain Expect spot flooding in some areas of Cork City and County, due to heavy downpours of rain and thunder overnight and during Monday morning. Reduce your vehicles speed, and give some extra braking distance from the vehicle in front of you. Do Not drive through Flood Water as you don't know how deep it is, and you could cause major damage to your vehicle. Please be aware of cyclists and pedestrians, as you drive past flood water, as you could soak them. You may find if difficult to see the road ahead, due to the heavy downpours of rain. Please pull in at a safe place until the shower has passed. Dipped headlights on please, and only use Fog Lights in Dense Fog. Improper use of Fog Lights is also a motoring offence!
