Our PYP journey began in 2006 and our school is one of few kindergartens authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in Hong Kong. We cater to children from 12 months to age six and we offer both English and Bilingual (English and Putonghua) programmes.

Our school garden is looking wonderful. Ms Kathy has been busy making sure that children get an opportunity to do some planting, watering and caring for the plants as well as feeding/washing the pet snails which have become very popular! Fostering a love, respect and interest in nature and our environment is so important for young children 🌴🌿🌱🌸🌷🐌🐛🦋🐝🐞

Such fun this week as our PN classes continue their inquiry into exploring with their five senses by going on a 'sensory exploration walk' inspired by the popular book 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. They were such risk-takers as they squelched through mud, paddled through water and swooshed through the snowstorm!

Look at all these wonderful small world scenarios our teachers created; now armed with lots of new ideas and inspiration for creating small worlds with the children. Small world play helps children to develop many different skills including; language, imagination and social skills.

Cora Ha works with families to help build connectedness between adult and child. This first session provides parents with adaptive solutions for children to tame tantrums and more. In Session 2, Cora Ha explores ways to love your children with appropriate limits. Parents will then learn and practice techniques that will result in short, medium, and long term gains. Please register with Ms. Nora at the school reception if you would like to join one of the sessions.

Our LKP classes are inquiring about communication and the impact of technology through their unit under the transdisciplinary theme 'How the World Works'. Last week they went on a trip to the post office to learn about the process involved in writing and posting letters. Everyone wrote and sent one local and one air mail. A great opportunity for authentic and meaningful writing.
