#makers Jessica Carey is the owner and designer behind The Hook Nook and has been designing and releasing her own finished work and patterns for six years. Being a wife and mother to two children, she originally sought to learn to crochet in 2011 when her oldest was a baby. Six years later, she has now switched her focus to womenswear made with chunky and extra-large fibers. Jessica loves to showcase how a "grandma" viewed craft can truly blend effortlessly in today's modern designs. We love how Jessica can make crochet look so rock'n roll (and we love the haircolor obviously!). By working with thicker yarn and a strong color palette she manages to create such textural pieces that are perfect to wear in winter. VERY FEW spots left for our crochet workshops on Sunday 12 and Wednesday 15 November! Price is 400rmb, including all the supplies and homemade breakfast. Book now at: makeinchina.sh@gmail.com!
